Collected Memory at Fries Museum

In the beginning of 2016 the Fries Museum acquired two works from the project Collected Memory.

The works will be part of the exhibition Beladen Landschap: van Kiefer tot Ristelhueber, which starts February 3rd. In this exhibition 15 different artists show their vision on the ‘charged’ landscape. About locations which are etched in our collective memory, like Auschwitz, Lampedusa or Aleppo.
Works by Francis Alys, Armando, Ori Gersht, Hans Citroen, Hannah Collins, Charles Heller and Lorenzo Pezzani, Marcel van Hoorn, Anselm Kiefer, Mathieu Knippenbergh, Raquel Maulwurf, M.I.A., Johan Nieuwenhuize, Olphaert de Otter, Karin Peulen and Sophie Ristelhueber.
